Black Walnut Headboard
Brighton and Hove
Designed in collaboration with Day Interiors, this bespoke headboard and integrated bedside furniture was made from a combination of solid and veneered black walnut.
Working from the initial concept, I developed the design in SketchUp to resolve the construction, detailing and integration of the bedside cabinets, mitred storage and drawers.
Lighting was incorporated into the cabinetry, with careful cable management built into the design. I worked alongside the electricians throughout the project to ensure the lighting and electrical requirements could be integrated cleanly into the finished piece.
The walnut was finished with Osmo Polyx-Oil Terra to enhance the natural grain and give the furniture its rich, contemporary finish.
